Archbishop Gaudencio Rosales expresses sympathy for tsunami victims
Tragedy and human suffering transcend many barriers. All of a sudden Sri Lanka, India, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and the Maldives have become special neighbors in need of us.
These people now reach out to us in the manner that our own sufferings have, in the past, addressed others for understanding and help. We in the Archdiocese of Manila are asked to include the disaster victims as well as their surviving families in our prayers. May they find consolation in their faith and love even in the midst of great trials and sufferings.
Allow a share of our Sunday Mass collections to be set aside as help to the surviving victims among our neighbors in Asia.
Thank and Praise the Lord for who we are and what we can be for others.
Thank you and God bless!
