RE: Ka-Talk Series # 36: “Sa ‘Yong Salita …”
All human beings are like grass, and all their glory is like wild flowers.
The grass withers, and the flowers fall,
but the WORD of the Lord remains forever.
1 Peter 1:24-25

Within the pages of the Bible, we find the story of God’s interactions with mankind – his thoughts, his plans, his intentions, and his wisdom for those he created in his very own image. No wonder it is the perfect guide for our daily living. In our pursuit of a simpler life, the Bible should be the first place we go to gain perspective and inspiration.
In an increasing number of ways, young people of today are displaying a great need to listen to God and speak with him. In the most recent concluded World Youth day in Sydney Australia, we witnessed how the young people in the world are eagerly seeking for the Word of God as the source of life and as a means of encountering the Lord in a personal manner. Undoubtedly, the unseen God interacts in this personal encounter speaks to them as friends and lives among them, so that he may invite and take them into fellowship with himself. This generous act of God’s Revelation is an ongoing, grace-filled event. This communication takes place through the action of the Holy Spirit, who, through the Word, seeks to renew the life and mission of the Church, to call her to an ongoing conversion and to send her to bring the message of the Gospel to all peoples, so “that they may have life, and have it abundantly” (John 10:10).
In this Ka-talk series, we would like to give importance to the Word of God. God, in his infinite love, gives to people of every age and time, especially the young people enabling them to become witnesses to his Word. Let us contemplate on this mystery of the Word, God’s greatest gift, to let our young people render thanks for it, to meditate upon it and to proclaim it to all members of the Church and all people of good will.
We invite you then, with your young people to KA-TALK # 36 SA ‘YONG SALITA … on September 20, 2008 (Saturday) from 1:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M., at the Cardinal Sin Auditorium, Paco Catholic School.
In Jesus’ love,
REV. FR. RAMON JADE L. LICUANAN
Minister
