MAPSA Early Well Wishers of Cardinal Sin

MAPSA took the early lead among the well-wishers of Cardinal Sin. Click here for more photos! The Manila Archdiocesan Parochial Association (MAPSA) took the early lead among the well-wishers of His Eminence Jaime L. Cardinal Sin who celebrates his 75th birthday on August 31.

The directors, heads, and some teachers and students of the member-schools of MAPSA greeted Cardinal Sin on August 19 at the Archbishop’s Residence, Villa San Miguel. The occasion later on served as the association’s general assembly.

The brief program to greet the Cardinal featured a presentation by the preschoolers of Paco Catholic School. This was followed by photo sessions of all those who took part in the program and Mass, the school directors and directresses, the high school and grade school principals.

A Mass was also celebrated with Bishop Francisco San Diego of the Diocese of Pasig, as main celebrants and Bishop Socrates B. Villegas, auxiliary bishop of Manila and chairman of the Episcopal Commission on Cathechesis and Catholic Education, Bishop Teodoro Buhain, Auxiliary Bishop of Manila, and Bishop Gabriel Reyes of the Diocese of Antipolo, concelebrants.

After the mass a brief seminar followed with Fr. Roderick Salazar, SVD, president of the Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (CEAP) and Brother Rafael Donato, SSC, president of De la Salle Lipa, as speakers.

MAPSA has 91 member schools in the Archdiocese of Manila, including its suffragans, and the Diocese of Antipolo. Its director is Monsignor Gerardo Santos.
