The conference paid tribute to the Pope who steered the Church through Vatican II and instituted the reforms that flowed out of the council, and who was beatified by Pope Francis on October 19, at the closing of the ExtraOrdinary Assembly of Bishops for the Synod on the Family at the Vatican.
