  • The Season of Creation starts on September 1, 2014.  The Archdiocese of Manila and the dioceses of the Ecclesiastical Province of Manila open the Season with a liturgical celebration and other activities at the National Shrine of Perpetual Help (Baclaran Church) beginning at 8 am on that day.

  • Manila Archbishop Luis Antonio G. Cardinal Tagle presides at the Mass for Nueva Caceres Archbishop Leonardo Z. Legaspi offered by the Archdiocese of Manila on August 13, 2014 at the UST Chapel.  Archbishop Legaspi who served as auxiliary bishop of Manila passed away on August 8, 2014.

  • Ms. Lou Arsenio of the Ecology Ministry of the Archdiocese of Manila presents the Season of Creation at the MAGPAS on August 2. The Season of Creation is being celebrated for the second year in the Archdiocese of Manila. A unique season that gives thanks to God for His wonderful gift of creation, and that calls on everyone a devotion on the special care and protection of the environment and God’s creation, it starts on September 1, 2014 and runs for four consecutive Sundays.

     

     

     

     

     



  • Manila Archbishop Luis Antonio G. Cardinal Tagle leads in the praying of the Angelus at 6 p.m. on July 29, 2014, 12 noon at the Vatican. At the Vatican right after the Angelus, the visit of Pope Francis to the Philippines on January 15-19, 2015 was officially announced, at the same time, Cardinal Tagle made the announcement in a press conference at the Arzobispado. With him are Archbishop Giuseppe Pinto, Apostolic Nuncio in the Philippines, and Pasig Bishop Mylo Hubert Vergara, chairman of the Episcopal Commission on Social Communications.

     


  • Media people from local and foreign news organizations attended the press conference on July 29, 2014 at the Arzobispade de Manila where Cardinal Tagle made the official announcement of the visit of Pope Francis to the Philippines in January 2015.
