TO: ALL PARISH PRIESTS, CHAPLAINS, AND RECTORS OF SHRINES IN THE ARCHDIOCESE OF MANILA
RE: PROPER ATTIRE IN CHURCH POSTERS
The Ministry for Liturgical Affairs has been receiving many requests for it to come up with guidelines on the proper attire in church. These results usually cite the increasing number of people who come to Church to attend Mass or other liturgical functions garbed in a way that disrespects the sanctity of the House of God and the sacredness of the Liturgical Celebration.
As one of the responses to this concern the Ministry for Liturgical Affairs has produced a poster that clearly shows how one can be properly dressed for church. The Office has earmarked three (3) copies for each parish, chapel, or shrine. Much as the office wishes to send these copies by courier, it has not been possible because of the size and the fact that it is of heavy paper stock which cannot be folded.
May we request you to please get the copies from the office of the Archdiocesan Liturgical Commission at the Arzobispado de Manila, 121 Arzobispo St. Intramuros, Manila? If you are sending a representative kindly give him a letter or note of authorization.
May we request you that after having gotten your copies to please post them at areas that can be readily and easily viewed by people who go to church.
