RE:       GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF PARISH COORDINATORS FOR THE MINISTRY OF ALTAR SERVERS

Greetings of Peace!

As the year of Mercy progresses, we would like to evaluate how the current set-up for our ministry is able to address the concerns with regard to basic and on-going formation of our parish altar servers. At the same time, this will also be a good avenue for us to set a standard direction in terms of the formation of parish altar servers.

RE: LITURGY CONFERENCE 2016: SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION

Your Excellencies, dear Reverend Monsignori, Fathers, Brothers and Sisters in Christ:

Greetings of Peace!

The Liturgy Conference 2016 will take place in San Carlos Seminary Auditorium, Guadalupe Makati City on March 29 to April 1, 2016.  This year, we would like to deepen our reflections and study of the Sacrament of Reconciliation.  We will look into the sacrament of Reconciliation from its biblical, theological, liturgical and pastoral aspects.

This year’s topic is in consonance with the Jubilee Year of Mercy, which His Holiness Pope Francis has declared for the whole Church. The Holy Father, in Misericordiae Vultus, said that through the experience of the Sacrament of Reconciliation, our people especially the young are “rediscovering a path back to the Lord, living a moment of intense prayer and finding meaning in their lives.”

We would like to request you to send participants to this Conference. The Conference will surely be of great help to your Liturgy Director, animators and parish pastoral workers.

We would like to thank you in advance for the support to will extend to us in this endeavor.

May the Extraordinary Jubilee Year of Mercy be an occasion of many graces for you, especially during this holy season of Lent and Easter.

Thank you.

In the Lord,

(SIGNED)
REV. FR. GENARO O. DIWA
Director
Executive Secretary

Renewal/Ongoing Formation Schedule for EMHC and LECOM

CIRCULAR NO. 2016 – 01
25 January 2016

TO: ALL PARISH PRIESTS, SHRINE RECTORS, CHAPLAINS, PARISH WORSHIP COORDINATORS, PARISH COORDINATORS OF EXTRAORDINARY MINISTERS OF HOLY COMMUNION AND LECTORS AND COMMENTATORS IN THE ARCHDIOCESE OF MANILA

RE: RENEWAL / ONGOING FORMATION SCHEDULE FOR EMHC AND LECOM

Dear Reverend Monsignori, Fathers, Brothers and Sisters:

Greetings in the Lord!

The Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy will be a major event in the Catholic Church, held from the Feast of the Immaculate Conception (December 8), 2015 to the Feast of Christ the King (November 20), 2016. Hence, this will be the central theme of the formation program for 2016.

Like other previous jubilees, it will be a special, holy year of remission of sins and universal pardon, in this occasion focusing particularly on God's forgiveness and mercy. It is an extraordinary Jubilee because it had not been predetermined long before; usually ordinary jubilees take place every 25 or 50 years. In fact, the 2016 Jubilee was first announced by Pope Francis on March 13, 2015. It is the 27th Holy Year in history, following the ordinary 2000 Jubilee during John Paul II papacy. The opening day will also be the fiftieth anniversary of the closing of the Second Vatican Council.
