MAGPAS 2 ON OCT 20 AT LA SALLE GREENHILLS
The Archdiocese of Manila holds its 2nd Manila Archdiocesan General Pastora l Assembly (MAGPAS 2) on October 20, 2007 at the La Salle Greenhills in San Juan. Some 3,500 representatives from parishes, shrines, schools, seminaries and ministries in the Archdiocese will attend the one-day assembly.
Manila Archbishop Gaudencio B. Cardinal Rosales will preside at the Eucharistic Celebration at 8:30 am. Bishops and priests of the Archdiocese of Manila will be his co-celebrants.
The first MAGPAS was held in 2005 and gave birth to the vision of the Archdiocese. This second gathering is aimed at deepening knowledge of the vision and discussing how it is being shared and lived among sectors and in the parishes.
The period between the two assemblies was devoted to a series of assemblies by sectors and vicariates. There was also a year of First Saturday catecheses which were personally conducted by Cardinal Rosales.
