ARCHDIOCESE GOES FULL BLAST ON VISION

KNOW, DESIRE, VALUE, LIVE and SHARE the VISION.

That’s the call of Manila Archbishop Gaudencio B. Cardinal Rosales to his flock in the archdiocese. At the resumption of the First Saturday catechesis on the VISION of the Archdiocese, the Cardinal said that it is time that the VISION is owned and assimilated by those who profess it.

The task at hand, he pointed out, is to cascade this. “Dapat ibaba ito sa level na maaangkin ng bawa’t isa sa atin,” he said. Following this exhortation from the Cardinal the cascading process has already been mapped out. A series of Vicarial and Sectoral Assemblies have been scheduled in the archdiocese beginning this May.

The objectives of the Vicarial Assembly are:

1. To strengthen communion-in-mission of the vicariate through the gathering of the lay leaders and consecrated persons in the geographical jurisdiction of the vicariates.

" The joy and hope, the grief and anguish of the men and women of our times, especially of those who are poor or afflicted in any way, are the joys and hopes, the grief and anguish of the followers of Christ as well.” (GS1).

1. To present the situation in of life of the parishes in the vicariates in the frame-work of the vision statement of the Church in Manila and the collective response to the Pondo ng Pinoy pastoral program.

" I came that you may have life and have it in abundance.”(Jn10:10)

The objectives of the Sectoral Assembly are:

1. To gather a specific sector in the Archdiocese of Manila in order to reflect on the Vision Statement of the Church in Manila.
2. To actualize the Vision Statement of the Church in Manila in the life and ministry of the specific sector.
3. To introduce or to deepen the Pondo ng Pinoy pastoral movement in the specific sector.
