First Saturday MAGPAS talk on Health and Sickness

The first Saturday MAGPAS catecheses on August 2 will focus on the theme, “Pain of Sickness—Realities We Have to Face.” Manila Archbishop Gaudencio B. Cardinal Rosales will give the main talk on the theme while Fr. Prudencio Solomon, Jr., minister of the Ministry on Health Care of the Archdiocese of Manila, will present a situationer on his ministry, including its programs, activities and services. It will be held at the usual venue at the Cardinal Sin Auditorium of Paco Catholic School in Paco, Manila beginning at 8 a.m. with a mass to be presided by Fr. Tony Navarette.

The objectives for the August catechesis are:

1.  To gain a deeper awareness and greater understanding of the pain of human suffering.
2. To gradually reach the point of acceptance of our own pains; thus, be able to console and offer assistance to others who are in pain, too.
