Religious, Schools, Laity launch Watch and Pray Movement

Manila Auxiliary Bishop Broderick S. Pabillo will lead in the launching of the Watch and Pray Movement by presiding at a Mass at the Basilca of the Immaculate Conception (Manila Cathedral), Intramuros, Manila at 1 p.m., February 6, Ash Wednesday.

The Watch and Pray movement is put up for the people to be proactive rather than reactive in responding to the challenges posed by the conditions of our times. It aims to promote a counterculture that will better serve the human community by upholding the dignity of the person, the quality of life, the protection of nature and the search for peace and political stability.

The school administrators together with the faculty, student leaders and officers will join in this auspicious occasion.

The Watch and Pray movement is in collaboration of the Association of Major Religious Superiors of the Philippines (AMRSP), the Inter-diocesan Catechetical Ministry (ICM), the Manila Archdiocesan and Parochial Schools Association and Parochial Schools Association (MAPSA), the Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines in the National Capital Region (CEAP-NCR), Simbahang Lingkod ng Bayan (SLB) and the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting.
