Catechetical Ministry holds Seminar on the Elections
The Ministry of Catechesis and Catholic Education of the Archdiocese
of Manila will hold a one-day seminar on the elections on February
27, Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m at the Cardinal Sin Auditorium
of the Paco Catholic School in Paco, Manila.
The seminar follows seminar-workshop entitled “Pilipinas,
Saan Ka Pupunta” held at the San Carlos Seminary on November
24, 2003. The seminar aims to present the thoughts and ideas on
as well as to develop enrichment of catechetical modules to catechists
and teachers in the Archdiocese’s parishes and schools.
Headed by Msgr. Gerardo Santos of the Ministry of Catechesis and
Catholic Education, the seminar will feature speakers who are experts
in topics that can help take action in preparing voters in the election.
Invited speakers are Fr. Jojo Magadia, SJ, Sr.Andy Collantes, OSB,
Teddy Santiago and officials of NAMFREL and PPCRV (Parish Pastoral
Councils for Responsible Voting).
Msgr. Santos will the praying of the Holy Rosary at 8 a.m., to
open the seminar. Bishop Socrates Villegas, Auxiliary Bishop of
Manila, will preside at a Mass at 8:30 am.
Registration fee is P150 to cover is required for every participant
that would cover snacks and lunch. Pre-registration can be made
