REV. FR. TORU A. NISHIMOTO, CSsR

Rev. Fr. Toru A. Nishimoto, CSsR passed away on August 21, 2010 at the age of 76.
He was appointed as Chaplain for Japanese Nationals in the Archdiocese of Manila by the late Jaime Cardinal Sin on April 29, 1975, a position he held until his death.

Father Nishimoto was born on August 29, 1933 in Ayabe, Kyoto, Japan and was ordained priest on June 9, 1961 for the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer (CSsR).

His remains lie in state at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Perpetual Help (Baclaran Church) in  Parañaque City . He will be interred on Saturday, August 28, 2010, after the 11 a.m. funeral Mass at the Baclaran church.

The Archdiocese of Manila requests the faithful to pray for eternal repose of his soul.
