RE: CLARIFICATION LETTER REGARDING THE PROMOTION OF DEVOTION TO GOD THE FATHER

Dear Monsignor/father/Brother/Sister:

Greetings of Peace in the Lord!

There have been inquiries forwarded to the office of the Cardinal regarding the promotion of devotion to the God the Father.  There is even a proposal to institute a liturgical feast in his honor.

So that we may know the theologico-liturgical implications of the issue, we are attaching the clarificatory letter from Fr. Anscar Chupungco, OSB of the Episcopal Commission on Liturgy addressed to Fr. Luis Supan of the Episcopal Commission on the Doctrine of the Faith.  This is self-explanatory.  We hope that by this instrument, we will be enlightened on this concern.
