Joining the procession for the first time, the Nuestra Señora de Candelaria Madre y Patrona de Tondo graced the 40th Intramuros Grand Marian Procession (IGMP) on December 1, 2019, at the Manila Cathedral.

One hundred twelve Marian images marched the streets of Intramuros and celebrated by devotees coming from different parts of the country.

The Nuestra Señora de Candelaria Madre y Patrona de Tondo is the second patron of the Archdiocesan Shrine of Santo Nino de Tondo, celebrating its feast day on February 2. The image was accompanied by its parishioners.

The IGMP is an annual event every first Sunday of December in honor of the Feast of Immaculate Conception. It is organized by Intramuros Administration and Confradia de la Inmaculada Conception Foundation with the support of the Armed Forces of the Philippines. (AJ Llanes/SOCOM-Archdiocesan Shrine of Sto.
