Vision/Mission
In response to God’s immense love for us, we the Christian Community of San Rafael through the guidance of the Holy Sprirt and Mary as our model, envisioned ourselves as a Christ-centered community; worshipping and living together in the spirit of love, service, harmony and solidarity with one another, with creation and with God.
We commit ourselves to be a church of the poor through the formation of Basic Ecclesial Communities, to actively take part in the sanctifying and evangelizing missions through the various ministries addressing the particular needs of God’s flock, and to uphold the sacntity of life and the primary of the family.
Thereby establishing an ideal parish community under the patronage of Saint Raphael and the Archangels and in unity with the Archdiocese of Manila and the Universal Church.
San Rafael Archangel Parish History
The parish of San Rafael was established in response to the need ofvspritual nourishment among fishermen and city dwellers who had decided to make the Isla de Balut and Isla de Cocomo as their new home. The late 1940s and early 1950s saw tremendous population increase in these areas, which justified the creation of a new parish.
